Five Good Friends has secured a limited supply of disposable surgical face masks, hand sanitiser and gloves for the dispatch to Members if requested.
Your hands can become contaminated with infectious agents through contact with another person, your surroundings, the environment, or other care workers. To help eliminate the risk of contamination, wash your hands frequently with soap and water before and after eating, and after going to the toilet. Cover your cough and sneeze, dispose of tissues, and use alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
Practising good hand hygiene by washing your hands with soap and water, using hand sanitiser, and using disposable gloves properly, can protect you from exposure to infectious agents that may be carried on your hands.
Whilst face masks are not widely recommended, unless you are already unwell, some Members have expressed interest in purchasing them as an extra precaution.
Members can use the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) package for yourself or for family providing direct care or visiting you during this time. Your helpers can access their own PPE if required.
Members are now able to purchase a pack of 20 face masks, 36 disposable gloves (size M/L), and a 450mls bottle of hand sanitiser for $75 delivered. This will be approved and allocated out of your Home Care Package.
